Dental treatment guarantees

1. Composite resin fillings – 3 years.
The guarantee period for a composite resin filling near the tooth cervix is 1 year. If there are other missing teeth (no support zone), the guarantee is provided for the period of 12 months (when the gaps are filled in, the guarantee is extended to 3 years except for the fillings near the tooth cervix). For patients with bruxism the guarantee period is individually determined by the prosthetist.

2. Tooth restoration and crown-tooth inlays – 3 years.
If there are other missing teeth (no support zone) the guarantee is provided for the period of 6 months (when the gaps are filled in, the guarantee is extended to 3 years). For patients with bruxism the guarantee period is individually determined by the prosthetist.

3. Fixed prosthodontics (crowns and bridges, veneers, inlays, onlays and overlays) – 3 years.
If there are other missing teeth (no support zone) the guarantee is provided for the period of 12 months (when the gaps are filled in, the guarantee is extended to 3 years). For patients with bruxism the guarantee period is individually determined by the prosthetist.

4. Removable prosthetics with an acrylic base – 1 year.
If there are other missing teeth (no support zone) the guarantee is provided for the period of 6 months (when the gaps are filled in, the guarantee is extended to 1 year except for the fillings near the tooth cervix). For patients with bruxism the guarantee period is individually determined by the prosthetist.

5. Removable prosthetics with a metal base – 3 years.
If there are other missing teeth (no support zone) the guarantee is provided for the period of 12 months (when the gaps are filled in, the guarantee is extended to 3 years). For patients with bruxism the guarantee period is individually determined by the prosthetist.

6.   Orthodontic braces and comfort braces – 1 year.

7.   Dental implants – 10 years.
Guarantee for implants depends on the producers guarantee.

 

The dental treatment guarantee terms are subject to reduction or invalidation:

  • if oral hygiene is neglected;
  • if the dentists’ instructions are not followed;
  • if removable restoration elements such as partial dentures or full dentures are not properly maintained;
  • if the patient does not come for a routine check-up at least once a year – invoice required;
  • if the reduction of the gum tissue or the tooth bone occurs naturally;
  • if prosthetics are damaged by accident, e.g. by dropping dentures;
  • if the patient’s illness has a negative impact on the dental condition (e.g. diabetes, epilepsy, osteoporosis or chemotherapy).

 

Occasionally, a trauma experienced during crown or bridge work might necessitate a subsequent root canal treatment. Krakow Dental Clinic is not liable for any problems that could not be diagnosed on the basis of the patient’s X-ray or could not be foreseen or predicted at the time of the patient’s dental treatment at Krakow Dental Clinic.
